It's so hard sometimes, to live as new and not as old. But it's so much BETTER to live as new. Even if it feels more comfortable to live as old. How many of you understand me?
Parts of COLOSSIANS 3 (NLT)
Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand...You used to do these things when your life was still part of this world. But now is the time to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behavior, slander, and dirty language. Don’t lie to each other, for you have stripped off your old sinful nature and all its wicked deeds. Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him. In this new life, it doesn’t matter if you are a Jew or a Gentile, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbaric, uncivilized, slave, or free. Christ is all that matters, and he lives in all of us... Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.

You have been trying out this new stuff and dying to the old for a couple of years. And as you practice living in the new, you don't fear the new. I am praying that as you are made to conform to the old in the USA, that you will take the lessons of Georgia and apply them to your five month sabbatical in America. You are in a new wineskin. I hope that you do not see comfort or smell or pliability in the old wineskins that will be waiting for you and decide to wear them again. You are a new creation. May you walk as you are with your new heart and live in the newness of each day, forsaking what is not eternal and living with the love in your heart. Big test ahead girl. Hold fast to what you know. Jenni, I am learning this also...that so much of the aliveness of our relationship with God through Jesus depends on what we allow to go on in our minds. Or rather how much of this world's stuff we allow to rattle around in there before we take it to God. Amen, sister! The true and honest, vulnerable and sincere walk with God is the only one for me!Desiring a teachable heart, pursuing the Lord constantly. Love you...can't wait to see you!! love,M
